A Gourmand’s Paradise

Dining on the Town

With so many dining options, choosing a restaurant in Phuket can be a daunting process.  While some of the island’s best dining experiences can be found at Anantara Resort Phuket, the island abounds with other unique restaurants that we’re happy to recommend. From delectable local seafood prepared as it has been for generations, to the artful presentation that defines contemporary fusion cooking, sample some of the best regional cuisine, all within easy access from your home base at Anantara.

Baan Rim Pa Restaurant

Set atop a cliff overlooking the Andaman Sea, Baan Rim Pa keeps true to the age-old tradition of Royal Thai cuisine, a cultural heritage once only enjoyed in the Royal Palace. Try banana blossom salad or chicken wrapped in pandanus leaves for some local flavour. The award-winning wine list will also leave a lasting impression.
223-223/1 Prabaramee Rd. Patong, A. Kathu Tel: 076 340 789, 076 341 768

The China Inn Café

This charming restaurant which manages to excel at both Thai and Western cuisine, represents a true labour of love. Owner Khun Noi rescued this crumbling but beautiful traditional Chinese shophouse that she had remembered as a child. Built 100 years ago using ‘feng shui’ principles to create a balanced space, the shophouse-turned antique-showroom and restaurant is a real local gem. Discover passionately prepared cuisine and have a chat with the owner – just as the King and Queen of Sweden did during their anniversary!
20 Thalang Rd., Phuket Town Tel: 076 356 239

Da Maurizio

Set along a granite beach, this sensational modern Italian restaurant combines Italian classics with some Eastern flavours, such as arugula apricot salad and fresh tuna carpaccio. Diners may elect to eat al fresco, where the sweeping views recall a scene along the Amalfi Coast of the Mediterranean Sea.
223/2 Prabaramee Rd., Patong, A. Kathu Tel: 076 344 079,  076 344 276

Floyd’s Brasserie

The acclaimed TV chef Keith Floyd opened his Patong restaurant after touring the world. For a man who calls his diners ‘gastronaughts’, Floyd designs contemporary seafood and steak creations using traditional Thai and French techniques, and a fair share of his own secrets! Be sure to make reservations well in advance to beat the crowds.
18/110 Ruamjai Rd., Patong Tel: 07 629 2929

Les Anges

After an afternoon of strolling in art galleries in this exclusive harbour enclave, retreat to this delectable boutique patisserie along the boardwalk and taste organic salads, afternoon tea and artful desserts such as chocolate mille feuille with forest berries.
Royal Phuket Marina. 68 Moo 2, Thepkasattri Rd., Kohkaew, Muang Tel: 07 623 9755

Raan Thamashaad

Phuket Town preserves the laid-back atmosphere of old Phuket. This quaint restaurant, known lovingly amongst locals as ‘Natural Restaurant'
